rísa is part of a long-term project on the impact of a growing demand for new energy resources on a pristine nature. The project focuses on the centre of Iceland, which is known for its vast and open landscapes and at the same time part of a proposal for landscape-altering plans itself. While the area is barely accessible for most of the year, especially in the white but for the area most common months, rísa creates a so far unseen image of one of the last remaining wildernesses in Europe.

The project was shown in a large-scale installation of five images in 5 x 4 meters in the centre of Reykjavík in 2015 and a project-specific homepage can be found at www.risa.is
